Substitute Teachers Needed

Fremont Community Schools is looking for highly qualified substitute teachers. Substitute teacher pay is $95 with a teacher's license per day and $85 without a license. To become a substitute teacher for FCS you must have the following items on file at the Superintendent’s Office:
  • A completed Substitute Teacher Application Packet (Come in or request one by calling 260-495-5005.)
  • College transcript which verifies a minimum of 60 college credit hours
  • Valid Indiana Teaching License or an Indiana Substitute Teaching Permit. To obtain an Indiana Substitute Teaching Permit go to www.doe.in.gov/educatorlicensing or call the Indiana Department of Education at 866-542-3672.
  • Expanded Criminal History Report obtained through Safe Hiring Solutions. You can access Safe Hiring Solutions on the quick link on our corporation website at https://www.fcs.k12.in.us.
Expanded Criminal History Report

Thank you for your interest in being an employee with Fremont Community Schools. Fremont Community Schools requires all potential employees, including substitute teaching applicants, to obtain an Expanded Criminal History prior to beginning employment with the School Corporation.

The applicant is responsible for all costs associated with obtaining the Expanded Criminal History. All criminal history reports are confidential and shall not be released or disseminated publicly.

Fremont Community Schools utilizes the services of Safe Hiring Solutions. We will retrieve a copy of your criminal history report once we are notified by Safe Hiring Solutions and then notify you upon receipt. Pending approval, applicant will be ready for employment with Fremont Community Schools.
