As promised – the school tax rate referendum was passed and the total school tax WENT Down! The state wording required that it was listed as an increase in your tax rate on the ballot but we told you that would not happen. The 2024 tax rate was $0.5470 – We said we were looking at $0.5000 for the 2025 year. WE WERE BETTER THAN THAT! 2025 finalized school tax rate is $0.4741!

Fremont Community School’s tax rate is the lowest school tax rate in Indiana!

Fremont is Number 1

The school tax rate for 2025 is the lowest tax rate in the entire state of Indiana. The goal for FCS is not to always be the lowest – but our priority is always to use your tax money wisely. The corporation will need to address and update multiple areas in our facilities. Roofs need to be replaced and electrical work updated in the 1959 elementary school. Bonds may need to be issued to maintain the quality of our programs and facilities. Even if bonds are added to our Debt Service Fund our goal stays the same – Use tax dollars wisely!!!

Fremont High School Robotics Team  -  This year, the Fremont Robotics team comprised of six members: two freshmen, Arianna Baum and Jordan Gibson; three juniors, Brayton Moss, Michael Fisher, and Thor Schemahorn; and one senior, Tressa Howey.  They have also received an invitation to go to state and will do so March 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Events Center in Indianapolis! This is a major accomplishment as only approximately one in five teams get to participate.
