Erin's Law requires all public schools in each state to implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program which teaches: Students in grades PreK – 12th grade, age-appropriate techniques to recognize child sexual abuse and tell a trusted adult.
We have SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) scheduled to come November 4th and 5th to the High School. Each presentation is about 55 minutes, so we'll have one grade level from 8:05-9:00, then another from 9:05-10:00 on each day starting with freshmen. High School students report to their first block class during flex on November 4th and 5th to recoup the lost instructional time.

Lets bring home the Championship, Eagles! 🦅🏈
At Fremont High School, we believe in creating as many opportunities as possible for our students to own their future. That’s why we offer the PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to our students. Whether your child is thinking about attending a two- or four-year college, a job
training program, or isn’t sure what they want to do after high school, the PSAT/NMSQT can help make their career goals and postsecondary path clearer.
Results from the PSAT/NMSQT provide insights into your child’s academic strengths, along with areas they can work on while still in high school.
Taking the PSAT/NMSQT can also help your child to:
▪ Enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program if they meet program requirements specified in the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide.
▪ Understand your skills and knowledge and which areas to focus on improving.
▪ Practice and prepare for the SAT®.
▪ Find out what AP® courses they’re ready to take.
▪ Plan and pay for college.
▪ Explore personalized career insights aligned to their score.
Your child will take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 29 using their Chromebook.
If you or your child have questions about the PSAT/NMSQT or college and career planning, please reach out to me or Mrs. Miller—we’re here to help.

Mrs. Batt's Botany/Zoology class visited the Toledo Zoo on October 4th to serve as an introduction to phylums before starting Zoology in the second quarter. While at the zoo, students were tasked with visiting exhibits and completing a picture scavenger hunt. It was a beautiful day, and students enjoyed checking out the new exhibits, and visiting old favorites.
During this semester class, students learn about types of plants, testing soil, the nine animal phyla, and how animals interact with their environment, among other things. Mrs. Swagger's Applied Skills class also joined in on the day.
This trip was made possible by school funds and donor monies.

FIST, a youth philanthropic group in Steuben County, is starting their can drive this week in the Elementary and Middle School. The different classes in the Elementary School will compete to see who can bring in the most cans with the winning class receiving a pizza party during lunch. The Elementary drive will run from now until November 1 and the Middle School's will go until the end of this week, October 25th.
Also, on October 28th, High Schoolers have the opportunity to go out around the Fremont community and trick-or-treat for canned goods instead of candy. On the 28th any High Schoolers interested in participating will meet in the High School parking lot from 5:45 to 6:00 pm before they go out to collect cans.
Make sure you stock up on canned goods and nonperishable items and send them in with your student, or be ready for the 28th incase a high schooler out trick-or-treating comes and asks you for cans.
All of the cans raised during these events will go to FYCO (Fremont Youth and Community Outreach) located at the Fremont Community Church on N Coldwater St.

We were excited to have T-Mobile at the Friday night football game representing their store from the Angola, IN location. T-Mobile is proud to support the communities they serve. Friday Night 5G Lights is the latest way T-Mobile is showing its support for small towns. In April 2021, T-Mobile rolled out 5G for All, a commitment to bring the most advanced wireless services to all of the country, not just big cities and their suburbs.
Now, a little more than three years later, that vision has transformed into reality. As the nation's largest and fastest 5G network, T-Mobile is now the wireless provider for rural America, delivering impactful benefits like: expanded coverage, home internet, retail expansion, Hometown Grants, Project 10Million, Coverage above and beyond.
They presented Fremont High School this One Thousand Dollar check as part of their fall football program.
Thank you T-Mobile, for coming here to celebrate with us and Congratulations Fremont High School!
