Mrs. Light's 8th Grade Art Class made poppies to put on each Veteran's table during our program later this year. Poppies have been a symbol of remembrance and support for veterans and their families for over 100 years.

The FMS School-Wide Fundraiser raised over $26,000, eclipsing our $25,000 goal! Congratulations to our top Eagle Time sellers, who will be receiving a Donut party on Monday! Mrs. Snyder 5th Grade- $2740 sold Mrs. Clary 6th Grade- $3915 sold Mrs. Miller 7th Grade- $2775 sold Mrs. Johnson 8th Grade- $1608 sold We would like to thank the wonderful Fremont Community, their families and friends, for helping us eclipse this goal.

The FMS Recycling Club collects reusable items every Thursday to help raise awareness about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling, to help reduce the school's footprint, and to also have fun and make a difference! ♻️

Tomorrow's homecoming football game is the first FREE athletic event for students who purchased a spirit shirt. Any student, K-12, who wears their shirt will get into the football game for free! We are also encouraging everyone to wear their shirts to school tomorrow for spirit day!

Homecoming Dress-Up Days for next week, September 23rd-27th. We look forward to seeing everyone participate. ❗️UPDATE: High School Theme Day (Thursday) - Freshman will be CHRISTMAS instead of Valentine's Day ❗️ **Students are to follow only their buildings dress-up days. Buildings are listed at the top of the posters. Normal dress code rules still apply.

FMS Teacher - Mr. Kuespert Kevin Stoy from Stoy Farms came in to talk to 8th Graders about business, finance, and economics as part of Junior Achievement.

We are on the home stretch of our School-Wide Fundraiser here at FMS with just six days left to buy Fall catalog items, as well as Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough. Your support so far has been tremendous, and we are so grateful! With your generosity, we've been able to raise over $10,000 so far on online sales only, and we need that final push to reach our goal! Please see any FMS student, and they will be able to show you how you can purchase these items, either by paper, or online.

FMS athletic Schedule 9.16.24

8th Grade Science - Mr. Shepard This week we've been studying properties and characteristics of matter in science class. Today we learned about hydrophobic (water fearing) and hydrophilic (water loving) properties of soap molecules as well as the reduction in surface tension of water. We then tested if various brands of dish soap made a difference in the size of bubbles that could be created. Students had fun and gathered data to test their claim on bubble size.

Reminder: Fremont Middle School Grandparents Day is tomorrow, September 13th. This event will be in the Middle School gym from 7:15am - 8:15am. Overflow parking will be available in the South Parking Lot located behind the Middle School. You will need to walk around the building to the front entrance to enter the school. We look forward to seeing all of our Students & Grandparents tomorrow morning!
