7th grade students participated in a JA JobSparks virtual program this morning, where they have the opportunity to interact with professionals from eight industry clusters and learn about future in demand careers.

A new form needs completed each school year to remain in the program, but if you have already completed a form for the 2024-25 school year, you do not need to sign-up again. School Smiles accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and offers self-pay rates for those who may be uninsured. Paper registration forms available in each building office, or use the QR code to register.

From FMS 8th Grade Science Teacher - Mr. Shepard
This week we had some guests from Cameron Memorial Hospital assisting us with a Blood Typing activity in 8th grade science. The students have been studying genetics and this activity gave them a chance to see how common their blood type is with the world population.

Today (2.24.25) at approximately 2:40 PM Fremont Town Marshall Joe Patterson radioed for the schools to go on a lockout. At that time our safety notification program was set in place. At 2:43 the all clear was given and the notification program was cleared.

Mr. Shepard's 8th Grade Science
We have been studying Genes and Heredity in science class. Earlier this week, our 8th graders got the opportunity to see actual DNA strands with our Strawberry DNA Extraction lab.

We have a winter weather advisory until 7 AM tomorrow. The forecast is calling for 3-6 inches of snow and one tenth of an inch of ice.. If we close school tomorrow it will be an eLearning day.
