About Head Start:
Fremont Community Schools is a Federally funded
program for low-income families for their preschool
age children ages 3-5.
FCS Head Start provides services for free for qualifying families.
Head Start provides a successful preschool program, but also provides
nutrition, health and support services to children and their families.
Family involvement is a big part of Head Start. Parents are encouraged to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences held twice a year.
Parents can also be involved by being a Policy Council Member.
Thank you for your interest in being an employee with Head Start . Our program requires all potential employees, including substitute teaching applicants, to obtain an Expanded Criminal History prior to beginning employment with the School Corporation.
The applicant is responsible for all costs associated with obtaining the Expanded Criminal History. All criminal history reports are confidential and shall not be released or disseminated publicly.
Head Start utilizes the services of Safe Hiring Solutions. We will retrieve a copy of your criminal history report once we are notified by Safe Hiring Solutions and then notify you upon receipt. Pending approval, applicant will be ready for employment with Head Start.
Please Note: Once you have ordered the Safe Hiring Solutions report you will receive two emails from the Indiana Department of Child Services to complete their application. The emails will come from KidTraks@dcs.in.gov and most likely will go to your spam. The IDCS application expires 10 days from the date of the email.
