Feb 12th - 16th Eagle Chatter, and Dr. Suess week dress up days.
Today at approximately 3:30 PM the 911 dispatcher received a text message about a gun by the school. At that time both Angola and Fremont went into a lockdown. The 911 dispatcher received a few more text messages. Out of precaution our buildings were checked by police and fire officials. At 4:30 PM we were given the all clear.
Today at approximately 11:30 am a Fremont Middle School staff member received a notification that two middle school students were doing internet searches on guns. Out of precaution all schools were placed on lockout. Lockers were searched and a "Back to Normal" was given at 12:00 pm.
Thank you Fremont Police, Steuben County Sheriff's Department, Angola Police, Clear Lake Police and Indiana State Police for keeping everyone safe.
🍩 FMS Donuts with Dads will be held tomorrow, February 9th from 7:15am-8:00am in the Middle School Gym. 🍩
The Choir students represented FCS well this weekend at the annual ISSMA Solo & Ensemble contest. We received 10 Gold ratings and 4 Silver Ratings.

In celebration of earning 75 Eagles for Fremont Elementary Eagle's Soar Program, teachers and staff members were silly stringed by students at the end of each recess on Friday. Our next goal is to get 100 EAGLES! Keep up the great work FES Eagles.

January Respect Winners
Students in the 3rd grade high ability reading group created kachina dolls during their study of the Navajo tribe. Kachina dolls are a craft made to resemble something from nature.
Awesome job on your crafts!
These 16 students participated in the 2024 FES Science Fair. Students had to discuss their scientific reasoning, results, and share their information with judges.
Students who earned first place will be eligible to participate in the Regional Science Fair competition at Trine University in March.

We want to wish good luck to all of our Fremont High School athletes competing in different state tournaments this week!
Thursday, Fremont swimmer Emery Laughlin will compete in the trials for the IHSAA Swimming Sectional at Northridge High School. Swimming starts at 6:00 pm, and Emery will compete in the 100 yard Freestyle and 100 yard Breaststroke.
Friday, Girls Varsity Basketball will play in the first round of the IHSAA Sectional at Eastside High School. Fremont will face Westview in the first game of the night at 6:00 pm. There will be a fan bus for any student wishing to attend leaving at 4:30 pm from the front of the high school. With a win, our girls will advance to Saturday night's Championship Game starting at 7:30 pm.
Saturday, Fremont will send 3 varsity wrestlers to the IHSAA Regional at Goshen High School. Senior Corbin McCullough, junior Dominic Crain, and freshman Jacob Foster, will all wrestle in the first round starting at 9:00 am. A win in the first round will advance each wrestler to the IHSAA Semi-State next weekend!
